I'm surprised they make one that's within 1 pound of each other. No huge difference. The P07 already runs a 16lb spring OEM in both 9 and 40, as will the new P09. So my gut feeling is that you can stay just under 16 for a 9mm, even at +p, as 16 is already the new stocker in P07 and P09 40s. Delta Victor Charlie.
If you want a range gun, get the SP-01. If you want a gun for defense, get the G17. The G17 has a proven track record with Police and Military as a reliable defense/offense weapon. The CZ SP-01 is more accurate out of the box, but the trigger is bad; it is worse than the G17.

The CZ Shadow 2 is a heavy, steel framed, competition-oriented version of the legendary CZ-75. Like its progenitor, the Shadow 2 is a double action/single action pistol. Unlike most DA/SA pistols, however, it has no de-cocking lever. Rather the CZ-75 was designed with a traditional thumb safety.

The CZ equivalent of the 92x would be the Shadow 2 or the Tactical Sport Orange, not the SP-01. The SP-01 is a duty gun like the M9. 92x is a line of pistols. It is possible that the Glock engineers have taken the old frame and reinforced it internally, so the guns will maintain the same outward appearance and holster fit. However, a new frame with a new look is a possibility.

I just wanted to see what you guys have to say about the Glock 34 or the CZ SP-01 Shadow for production. I have a G34 and love it but down the road I have been thinking about buying another production gun for a back up and something else to play with and the Shadow has came to mind.
