Yep, the AI programming / pathfinding in l4d2 is lazy at best, where as in l4d1 it is much better - anyone who disagrees go play part 1 put yourself in bad positions as a survivor then do the same in part 2 and compare. On L4D2 i seen a new "bug" with bots. Coach was 1hp and dont heal hiself 2 times.

The hard part in this is the bots killing the Jockey before he can jump on one of them. I suggest you start up a campaign on easy and kick 2 of the bots. Enable developer console in the options and once in game press ~ (next to 1) and type: kick Rochelle (or the name of the bot you wish to kick).

Valve really should've improved their AI after release and while there are mods out there that improve them, the vast majority of them make the bots straight up overpowered.

Unlike other games such as Call of Duty where kicking isn't a concern simply because there are too many people without order/cohesion. L4D2 requires these two basic principles. L4D2's multiplayer environment is made even worse because players don't get punished for 'abusive behaviour'.
I'll just give you the .txt file that I use that changes character names. This should work. Create a folder, name it whatever, "Names", in that folder, make a "resource" folder, then add this (closecaption_english.txt) in. Edit the text, save, then make a .vpk out of it, and you should get custom names.
