MX runs KDE Plasma 5.20.5 - Kubuntu runs KDE Plasma 5.23.4, at this moment, 8 jan 2022. That's the main difference you will notice. Debian GNU/Linux is ranked 6th while MX Linux is ranked 12th. The most important reason people chose Debian GNU/Linux is: Debian has a Stable branch, where packages are thoroughly tested before release.
